We are following a detox diet and weighing in everyday and letting everyone know our progress. I am sure the support and accountability with help immensely.
I am embarrassed to say I weigh the most I have ever weighed in my life! I never even weighed this much when I was full term 9 months pregnant. Five years ago I weighed 107lbs. Mind you that was a little under weight for me. A healthy weight for my height and body type is 114-120lbs. I am so devastated to say I weighed in this morning at a 154.6lbs.
I know part of the problem is that since I was injured at my previous job and having fibromyalgia, I just can't do the things I used to do. I am just not as active I used to be. The other reason is all my own fault. I used to eat so healthy, and I just don't anymore. It is time to start again and try to stick with it! My health needs it.
This is the detox diet we are starting today (PHASE 1):
NO OILS
NO PEAS
NO CORN
NO CARROTS
NO POTATOES
NO MUSHROOMS
NO ALCOHOL
NO DAIRY
NO SUGARS
NO FLOURS
NO CARBS OF ANY KIND!!!
LIST OF ALLOWED FOODS
ALLOWED PROTEINS:
FRESH WHITE FISH
CHICKEN BREAST
BEEF
VEAL
SHRIMP
LOBSTER
CRAB
ALLOWED VEGETABLES:
ASPARAGUS (HALF BUNCH)
LETTUCE (UNLIMITED)
CHICORY
SPINACH (UNLIMITED)
CUCUMBER (ONE WHOLE)
TOMATO (ONE LARGE)
ONION
CHARD
CABBAGE
ALLOWED FRUIT:
1/2 GRAPEFRUIT
ORANGE
APPLE
STRAWBERRIES (10)
ALLOWED SPICES & HERBS:
ANY ORGANIC SPICES
CILANTRO
BASIL
GARLIC
SEA SALT & PEPPER
OTHER ITEMS ALLOWED:
BLACK COFFEE
GREEN TEA
ANY TEA HOT OR COLD
CINNAMON
WONDER COCOA
STEVIA (POWDER & LIQUID - ANY FLAVOR)
SALAD DRESSING:
3 TBSP APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
1/2 TBSP LEMON SQUEEZED
6 DROPS OF STEVIA
1 TSP GARLIC POWDER
1 TBS ITALIAN SEASONING
4 SPRINKLES OF DRY MUSTARD
SEA SALT & PEPPER
RULES:
· Do not eat 3-4 hours before bedtime!!
· Do not mix vegetables - only 1 vegetable and 1 protein choice at a time (example: Cannot mix cucumbers and tomatoes - you can have one or the other)
· 2 fruits a day, but not at the same time and not the same fruit twice
· Protein must be 3 ½ ounces weighed raw - four times a day!!!
· Exercise at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week
· Purchase organic spices, fruits and vegetables if possible
· If you get hungry, add extra protein, preferably more white fish or chicken
· If it is not on the above list - it is not allowed!!! Period, end of story! Don't even ask!
· This is based on chemical interactions of food along with your body chemistry, so that is why it works - your body will be like a constant furnace, burning fat steadily and consistently - and with the choices you’re given to eat, your body will be forced to burn your fat!
· Remember: be creative, stick to it! Only 8 weeks! And your body will transform! Then we will continue to phase ii, where we will be able to add more food choices.
